Existing Group Schemes
If your organisation has an existing Group Medical or Group Life Insurance programme, the team at Primus would welcome the chance to review it for you. This is especially the case if you have concerns about the effectiveness, cost, or servicing of your current plan.

Engaging Primus to carry out a formal review gives you, the client, a first-hand opportunity to experience the way we work and to assess the standard of our service. We believe we can impress in both areas. Ideally, this initial engagement would lay the foundations of a long-term relationship.
When we advise on an existing scheme, our stated intention is to perform at a level that convinces you, the client, to appoint us as your broker. With your endorsement, Primus would then take over the ongoing management of your Employee Benefits program
Corporate Consulting
Large organisations periodically require an external review of their existing Employee Benefits programme. This is especially the case if a Group scheme is placed directly with an insurer and the client therefore lacks access to the wider market and expert third-party advice.
This option is similar to the service described under “Existing Group Schemes” but differs in the fact that it is usually an intensive, one-off project, designed to respond to the client’s specific scope of works. As examples, clients often look to engage our expertise in such areas as cost containment, arranging and overseeing a competitive tender process with all available insurers, benchmarking of benefits, and detailed claims analysis (in order to understand current and future pricing).

Cost Management
Primus Brokers understands that businesses need to manage their costs, including insurance premiums. We believe it is fundamental to the broker’s role to deliver outstanding value and the sharpest available rates – not only at the first review, but also at each renewal thereafter.
Our team also has many years’ experience of carrying out significant restructures of existing Employee Benefits programmes, particularly for corporate organisations. In carrying out this work, we are cognisant of the employer’s need to manage HR considerations while achieving cost reductions. We are experienced in helping our clients navigate these competing concerns with skill and tact.
Claims Advocacy
If one of your employees or senior staff members dies, or becomes seriously ill, then Primus Brokers will immediately mobilise our full support, attention, and expertise. Over the years, our team members have handled many significant and sensitive claims. We have a track record, not only of delivering the expected results for our clients (promptly and professionally), but also of providing a caring and proactive service that has been greatly appreciated by many families and many employers.
While Life and Illness claims are major events, our most frequent, day-to-day service relates to Group Medical Insurance claims. Although many staff are happy to lodge these claims directly with the insurer (using such tools as a claims app, 0800 number, or online services), Primus regularly provides advice to first time claimants, or those who need assistance and reassurance. High value Medical Insurance claims are an area of speciality.
Although disputed claims are rare, Primus has worked on a number of notable matters over the years. With due recognition of the irony involved, we are proud to be able to provide highly supportive references from the small number of clients whose claims have been declined (as a result of their individual circumstances not being covered under the terms of the policy). We believe that our unwavering support and guidance, along with our ability to retain the confidence and loyalty of these claimants, speaks volumes about our approach and our commitment.
At Primus, we take our claims responsibility very seriously. Naturally, our claims service is provided free of charge to any clients (or employees) who have insurance cover through our firm.
